What type of Kindle do you want to download textbooks?

I have a Kindle keyboard (also identified as Kindle three), with which I am quite pleased. For reading texts which are not specially formatted this kind of as novels the Kindle is excellent. If the text is in English the Kindle will study it out aloud to you with an American accent, a feature which I use each and every day as I drive to perform. However, though the Kindle can display Adobe pdf paperwork it is not very very good at it. Most pdfs are formatted for A4 size paper (authorized in US parlance?), which is a lot bigger than a Kiindle screen. In the Kindle both the entire web page is shown, which makes the characters so tiny as to be illegible, or the Kindle zooms into a part of the webpage, which lets you read what's created there but indicates you have to pan all around the webpage to read every little thing. This is of program really inconvenient. The other disadvantage is that the Kindle 3 can show images in 16 shades of grey only. No colour. I suspect you'd be greater served with a tablet Computer, if you can dwell with the shorter time between recharging. My wife has an iPad one. The screen is colour and more substantial than the Kindle.Although I have not employed the iPad intensively myself it can show pdfs at normal dimension. The iPad memory is also significantly larger - up to 64 GB RAM versus about 4 GB in the Kindle three. There are of program lots of other tablet PCs on the market place.
