Query by Brittany: how to inform the up to date kindle fire from the older version? So I received a kindle fire as a present(it was purchased in shop) and I was asking yourself if there was a way to inform if it was the newer up to date one particular vs the older version? The copyright date on the box is 2012 but I assume they have been even now making the older versions in early 2012. I read the newer ones have advertisements, i never see ads on this.
