How nicely does the Kindle or other E-reader perform with significant-web page pdf documents?

Query by Important_of_Idiots: How well does the Kindle or other E-reader work with large-webpage pdf paperwork? I have significant textbooks and other big webpage books. How does the kindle show the words. Is it small on the screen. Is there a pan and zoom function? Best response:

All e-readers with the small display dimension of the Kindle i.e. 600 x 800 pixels do not show standard size pdfs well. The Kindle 3 (AKA Kindle Keyboard) can show pdfs and has a pan and zoom function, but it is not significantly fun trying to read a pdf that way. If it is for just for reading through pdfs I'd get a tablet Computer with a larger display, like an iPad.
