You download books from websites to your Computer. Connect your kindle to your Computer via USB cable and the kidle exhibits up as a disk drive..from there you can drag and drop or copy files to the kindle. Now the kindle supports only AZW and MOBI formats, so most books from other internet sites are epub. So select up the app referred to as Calibre http://calibre-ebook.com/ to convert any format to MOBI....When converted to mobi, you can do the above, drag and drop.
