Question by shel321: Can anyone inform me how to get my new Kindle Fire to connect to my Netgear Router? I not too long ago obtained a Kindle Fire but it will not connect to my Netgear WiFi Router. My laptop connects just fine, so I know it is not the internet connection. I also know it's not the Kindle, as it will connect to other WiFi networks. The serial number is: 1XM2975V004C7, if that assists. :) Thanks! Greatest solution:

Is your wifi password-protected, and if yes, are you sure you are getting into the right password into the kindle? Is your router outdated and from the 802.11a/b era? If yes, then your kindle very likely doesn't help such an outdated common. Does your router use MAC filtering? If yes, then you want to add the kindle's MAC address to the list in order to let it to get on-line (see your router manual for particulars).
